Our Story
Next Gen Athlete KC was born from care — real care — not just for athletes, but for the children behind the jerseys.
This company was founded by a Black mother who found herself overwhelmed and searching for answers when her son began playing competitive sports. Like many parents, she was suddenly faced with difficult questions: Where does my child need to go? What should he be working on? How do I make sure I don’t unintentionally limit his opportunities?
Those questions weren’t hypothetical — they were urgent, emotional, and heavy. And as a new sports mom, she realized how fragmented, confusing, and impersonal the recruiting process could feel.
At Next Gen Athlete KC, every person involved in this organization shares that same heart. We are here because we genuinely care about kids — not just yours, but ours too. Student athletes give their time, their energy, and quite literally their bodies to their sport. In return, they deserve to be fully supported.
Our mission is to ensure that student athletes don’t just get recruited — they get prepared: prepared academically, emotionally, and ready for the independence and pressure that comes next.
Yes, scholarships and financial aid matter. But so does tutoring support. So does guidance. So does helping students adjust, grow, and thrive once they arrive on campus. When student athletes are supported as whole people, everyone wins.
